Not only are their quilts on display, the towns people dress up in Pioneer costumes and display old craft techniques.
There are old sewing machines on display and some that are for sale.
There is a historian who explains about the different quilt patterns, some of which are very vintage.A band entertains the crowd during lunch.
But what I like the best is the old buildings.

It looks like a nice event. Florida, though? I thought it would be hot in those outfits also.
How I would dearly love to attend this show. Nothing I love or appreciate more than pretty hand make quilts.

I love events like this. I think it's so important to remember how things used to be done, what clothes looked like! Can you imagine dressing like this everyday and in this heat! Ouch! Wonderful images. Thank you!
I have always wanted a handmade quilt. The ladies in the photos look so authentic! This looks like a fun day. I wish I kept up with sewing lessons I took years ago. I love fabric but can't sew! Visiting from Seasonal Sundays. xo,
