Autumn Welcome

The colors of Autumn are always so warm and inviting.

Autumn's Delight teacup by Johnson Brothers
I also made Pomegranate Iced Tea, as we are still enjoying 80 degree weather here in the south.

Pomegranates, pears and apples grace the centerpiece.

The cake plate was painted by my late mother in love.

I hope you will join me in Welcoming Autumn.

A Special Remembrance

This shelf holds several very special teacups in my collection. I'll share a few with you.

The yellow rose one is so lovely, even though the cup handle is broken off. The handle is inside the cup and one day I will get around to fixing it.

The cups and the plates are different patterns, but they seem to compliment each other.

This shelf and china holds a place in my heart because they belonged to my BFF. She was an avid collector of anything tea related. She especially loved English bone china, and enjoyed finding some very pretty pieces. We had been best friends for 20 years. She was the type of friend who always had a smile and loved unconditionally. She was never too busy to spend a little time with you. On September 26, 2004, during one of the wildest hurricane seasons that Florida has experienced, my very dear friend rode the wave of Hurricane Jeanne into the arms of Jesus.

"In my book of memories there is a pressed flower that fills a page
With gentle fragrance lingering still,

Though it's faded now with age.

The way my friend smiled and laughed,
The many ways she cared,
Are a legacy that she left behind in stories I love to share.

So remember the hearts who've touched your life,
It's what we each are here for.
A pressed Flower gently reminds us
To love and treasure our friendships more."

I miss you Diana........ keep the pot warm.

Come join me.....

..... it's Fall!
Living in the deep South, there is no change of seasons here. So we bring the colors of Fall indoors!

I love these dishes. These are manufactured by Nikko in Japan (no pattern listed)

And then my very favorite to bring out this time of year are my Thomas Kincade Spode china.

Each plate has a different house scene.

Glassware by Gorham (my wedding crystal)

As we say in the South, Happy Fall Ya'll!

Teacups for Fall

My collection of Fall teacups is slim, but I do so love the ones I have. Last week I shared the Pomona by Johnson Brothers. I only have one piece, but I love it!

Autumn's Delight also by Johnson Brothers (England) compliments any fall table.

I rarely find either of these two patterns in my area.

But for now, I have four teacups, and that's enough for a tea party :-)

Scripture Sunday

Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near;
let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts;

let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55: 6- 9

Gold and Blue

Adding touches of gold and blue, refreshes my table with just a hint of Fall.

I love how the china, silverware and glassware all echo the same swirly pattern.

The tea cart is on the ready for hot tea or coffee.

It's already the middle of September. Can Christmas be far behind??
