Easter Brunch

Easter. A time of celebration. I enjoy setting my table in honor of this special day.

~"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy
and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you."
Psalms 5:11 ~

The Silver belonged to my BFF who passed away 16 years ago.

~"Glory in his holy name: let the hearts of these who seek the Lord rejoice!"
1 Chronicles 16:10~

The dishes have Scripture verses.

When I found these at Ross several years ago, my daughter and I were on the hunt to find enough pieces to complete the table.

~"Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations,
'The Lord reigns!'" 1 Chronicles 16:31 ~

It was so much fun making the rosette napkins.

~Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say REJOICE. " Philippians 4:4

~ "Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready"
Revelation 19:7 ~

We are all sinners, since we have all done wrong things. But God made a way for us to be forgiven so we can have eternal life in Heaven. All we have to do is recognize our sinfulness and accept that Jesus paid the penalty for our sin when he died on the cross and rose again from the grave.

This weekend we will be celebrating the Risen Savior. If it was not for the sacrifice HE made, we would be dead to sin, eternally. HE paid the price for the debt we owed.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Have a blessed Easter!

Snapped and Captured

On a visit to the Library, I snapped this picture of Knock Out Roses as they too were enjoying the nice warm sunshine.

And this evening I was captured by the last rays of sunset. So I leave you with this glimpse toward the western sky.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Dreams Rekindled

Dreams Rekindled by Amanda Cabot takes readers to the town of Mesquite Springs MS. Dorothy Clark has big dreams of being a writer, hoping to change the world with her words.

Brandon Holloway, new to Mesquite Springs, brings the newspaper to the town, with hopes of making a difference after a harrowing experience in Xavier. In 1856 setting type took long hours after writing articles for the newspaper. Dorothy interviews townspeople and writes an article that gains Brandon's attention. But when an unusual stranger also makes his way into town, trouble seems to be brewing.

I think Amanda Cabot's characters were well crafted, the story suspenseful, a little bit of romance and lessons of forgiveness. The friendship between Dorothy and Laura was genuine, as most female friends bounce off one another. And the mutt, Nutmeg, was certainly one of the heroes.

A great historical fiction novel, which can be read as a stand alone story.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

It was such a beautiful day to tour Florida Southern College.  The sky was an amazing color of blue.
