Don't be anxious

Every single morning when I get up, I have to decide what I am going to wear. Sometimes it is an easy decision, other times it is tough.

But each and every day, the garden is dressed with no cares. The seeds were planted, and they know what they will produce. We water and fertilize and wait for the beautiful show. Some of the fruit are beautiful, and some are a little wonky. But they taste delicious just the same.

"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? "Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself."

Matthew 6:25-34

Enter the Tropics

Time to go down to South Florida.  Even though I've lived in Florida for most of my life, going into South Florida is like entering the deep tropics.

Pull up and park your boat right by your condo.

Blackberry Beach

"Whatever her issues ... however much she might need a friend ... Kat wasn't taking the hand he was extending, despite his repeated attempts to breach the wall Charley had mentioned and his own soul-baring today."

Traveling back to Hope Harbor is always a delight. And for Katherine Parker, hiding incognito, it is a place of rest. Questioning her career, she rents a cottage on Blackberry Beach, seeking a slower pace and time to reflect.

Coffee shop owner, Zach Garrett has made his escape from his own power house madness. And after a life changing loss, values each day as worth while.

I love revisiting Hope Harbor and all the characters that make this little town special.  The sea gulls, the sparing ministers, and of course Charley and his famous Taco food truck. I really enjoyed getting to know Zach. I think he is the hero of this story. There is a second story going on here as well. Aunt Stephanie and Frank make an interesting more mature couple that fill an avenue of romance that is not always addressed in fiction.

Although this is the 7th book about Hope Harbor, it definitely can be read as a stand alone book. It is a nice clean romance, with humor and the struggles of life. Well written and engaging, Irene Hannon once again brought us a heartwarming story about second chances.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Revell. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Easter Greetings

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" She said to him, "Yes Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world." (John 11:25-27)

"He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said" (Matt. 28:6)

May the light of the Savior's love shine on you today.

Happy Easter!

Ocala sunsets

A couple of weeks ago, hubby and I drove to Ocala for some antique hunting and up to our favorite restaurant in Williston. Ocala is rich with horse farms.

And of course some beautiful Florida sunsets.
