Let's have tea!

There were two things that fashioned this table. These beautiful roses............

and this gorgeous teacup..............

I couldn't resist imagining what they would look like paired for an afternoon tea.

Reach for the sky

It's been quite a while since I have driven downtown.  A lot has changed.

Many years ago, I worked downtown.  There were only a couple of tall buildings at that time.

Now there are more and more buildings that reach towards the sky.

A Memorial

In a little town in Florida, a memorial is built to honor the many men and women in the military.

It is a beautiful tribute to the honor and memory of those who have served in American Armed Forces.

Fathers Day

My guy is not big fan of tea. Unless it is cold, sweet and on ice, he always prefers a big mug of coffee. But let's pretend that this would be a hit for all the Fathers.

The handsome pocket watch belonged to my hubby's grandfather.

I hope the Fathers in your life enjoy their special day.

World War II novel

Whose Waves These Are

This novel is based on the lives of twin brothers, Robert and Roy Bliss, during the time period of World War II. One of the brothers is called to war, the other is not, and how the war affected their family. In 2001 Ann Bliss receives word that her "GrandBob" has been injured. She sets out to discover her uncles secret project.

I found the story to be a bit confusing with the story line jumping from one era to another. Going back and forth between modern-day and the past. I found it difficult to keep track of all the different characters and the plot line as we travel through time. However it was a good clean novel. If anything distracted me, it was too much imagery. I skipped many sections because of a little too much description in every phrase.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher.
