Red for any season

Christmas is over. But I had one more special table I wanted to share. It was my Red for the Season Breakfast.

I love these red and white transferware dishes that I found at Goodwill a couple of years ago.

Ever since then I keep my eye out for anything Red that would go with them.

I found the Tea Pot at Cracker Barrel.

Tea cups and saucers from Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta GA.

Red always goes with the Christmas holiday, but with Valentines just around the corner, these dishes will make a new statement for the season of love.

Tablescape Thursday
Thrifty Things Friday

It is with deepest regrets that I have been informed 'Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday', as well as 'Tuesday Tea For Two (Wanda Lee) will no longer be hosting or blogging anymore. It really saddens me to see these lovely Tea parties leave blog land. As well as Lady Katherine has not posted since November. I wanted to let Wanda Lee, Pam, and Lady Katherine know how much I have appreciated their being such gracious hostesses over the years and we will miss them sorely. I pray that all is well and they will enjoy their time with family and friends. We would welcome them back anytime they feel they can return to sharing Tea with us.

Your red and white table is lovely and I like how big the teapot is. With a little rearranging, a Valentine tea will look just as inviting with everything.

Hi Jocelyne,
what a luck that the photos are still there, while I am coming late for this wonderful breakfast. It is a wonderful warm red and you catched this pretty color with the Poinsettia and the transferware perfect. That looks all so fresh and delicious with the wafers and the fresh fruits. Thank you for sharing this red delight.

Your poinsettia is still going strong!!! I am surprised that all of mine are still faring well, too. I usually kill them off pretty quickly through sheer neglect. Once Christmas is over, I just don't pay much attention to them, and they croak! This year, however, they are fighting to stay healthy and happy! :-) Yours looks very happy on this cheery red & white table!

I just love your pretty breakfast table! You'd think I would get my fill of seeing transferware, but I just never seem to tire of it. :) I love all the many colors and patterns that are out there.

Your red and white is especially cheerful, and as you said, can do double duty for Christmas and Valentine's. Your charming teapot makes a nice addition to the set, as do the teacups and saucers. How great that you found the other dishes at Goodwill!

Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

I have my Mom's vintage Masons Pink Vista. We use it for Thanksgiving as was her tradition. your photos brought back happy memories when Mom loved to entertain and set a pretty table with her china. She had several different patterns but names I can't recall. One was white with Pink Roses. My Grandmother had Blue and white transferware.
