As we embark on yet another New Year, there are uncertainties that lie ahead. The Lord does not send out a calendar of events that will happen in life. We are more likely to be taken by surprise as the story unfolds. God, in His great goodness, knew that we could not handle knowing what each day would bring. So we step out in faith, facing each day as a new adventure. However, our loving Father is not ignorant of each step. Even when we cannot feel His presence, He is with us.

Sometimes I wish I could know what the year holds, but I know it's best that I don't. I need to trust in the Lord's unfolding. He will take care of it all, one day at a time.
I like how you said he doesn't put out a calendar of events for the year, but life is stepping into adventure with him everyday. I am amazed that he does share his heart and plans with us when we ask and when we need to know. Some of that comes in the written word he's preserved for us and some as his Spirit whispers his direction and love messages to us.
