I don't know why it is that summertime always gets me thinking about chickens. We have chicken decorations in our kitchen, so setting the table comes naturally.
This pair are a salt and pepper that we found at an antique mall. Mr. Roo looks pretty fearsome!

I don't have quite as many chicken decorations as you do but I love mine year round. You don't have to feed them, either.
