Hubby and I took a day trip to Mount Dora.
It was beastly hot so we didn't walk around very long.
Just enough to see a few places.
It has changed greatly since the last time I was there, many years ago. It is mostly restaurants and cafes. No more little shops from local artists. Which was a little disappointing. Everything changes over time.

small local establishments being pushed out more and more...
Everything does change, sometimes sadly, but your photos are beautiful.
I always love the little shops in any location I visit. The inflation and post pandemic economy have been a heck.
The clouds look great and the lighthouse mural is cool.
I've had that happen - go back to place I really liked and it's very different. Life is change but sometimes we want to hold on to parts of the past.
I love the sky, love the mural. Small local shops fight to stay alive these days.
Lovely photos and fun day trip for you and 'us.' ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Pretty sky shot. Sorry to hear about the changes. I prefer small local shops.
I was in Mt. Dora once and one of the things I enjoyed was the art vibe. Too bad knowing it has changed - I really liked it. But change is part of life.
Beautiful sky shot. It's the small local shops that make a place attractive but change happens all the time.
I visited Mt Dora in 2019, and thought it had quite a few artsy stores. Perhaps there were more before. I was impressed with the Van Gogh house.
Van Gogh House in Mount Dora, Florida
I have been to Mt. Dora every time we go to Florida. I loved all the little shops. My husband and I would always pick a different restaurant to eat before travelling on to our destination Orange Park. We even took the boat ride. Added were Christmas decorations to set the mood to enjoy being a tourist there. So sad, it has changed. Life goes on. It is what it is.
