The Lost Melody

The Lost Melody by Joanna Davidson Politano is haunting story about the asylums of the 1800's. Beautifully written into deep places but offers a hopeful message.

Vivienne Mourdant seeks to find her father's elusive ward at Hurstwell Asylum. Unable to find her, she goes under cover by changing her name and getting a job at the asylum. That's when things go wrong and she is wrongfully confined. The romance is pretty amazing. Well crafted characters play out Vivienne and Dr. Mitchell Turner's forbidden relationship.

This gripping plot is intertwined with Scripture to bring light into the darkness. Joanna Davidson Politano is a gifted writer. If you are a fan of Jane Eyre, you will enjoy this historical mystery.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
