Nothing Short of Wondrous

Nothing Short of Wondrous, by Regina Scott, is a historical fiction depicting Yellowstone National Park in the late 1800's. Well researched and well described, we embark on a journey with widow Kate Tremaine and Lieutenant Will Prescott.

After Kate's husband dies, she is left to run the Geyser Gateway Inn. When the Army is assigned to protect the Park, Kate finds herself being a guide to the calvary men, with a promise from Will to help with repairs around the Inn. These two flawed characters find God's love and forgiveness in healings from their past.

The many scenes describing Yellowstone were impressive as Scott brings to life the geysers, steaming springs, and the beauty of the Park.  The authors research was spot on, and brings to the forefront the beginnings of the National Park Services.  The story is full of such interesting historical information.

The book is the second in the American Wonders Series. It can be read as a standalone.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
