Happy Easter

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" 
She said to him, "Yes Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world." (John 11:25-27)

"He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said" (Matt. 28:6)

May the light of the Savior's love shine on you today.

Rejoice!

Easter. A time of celebration. We don't usually have Easter at home, as there is always a family gathering. But I still enjoy setting my table in honor of this special day.

~"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy
and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you."
Psalms 5:11 ~

The Silver belonged to my BFF who passed away 13 years ago.

Her family did not want any of these pieces, so they passed them on to me.

~"Glory in his holy name: let the hearts of these who seek the Lord rejoice!"
1 Chronicles 16:10~

I always wanted dishes with Scripture verses.

When I found these at Ross, my daughter and I were on the hunt to find enough pieces to complete the table.

~"Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations,
'The Lord reigns!'" 1 Chronicles 16:31 ~



It was so much fun making the rosette napkins.


~Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say REJOICE. " Philippians 4:4 ~


~ "Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready" Revelation 19:7 ~


This weekend we will be celebrating the Risen Savior. If it was not for the sacrifice HE made, we would be dead to sin, eternally. HE paid the price for the debt we owed.

We are all sinners, since we have all done wrong things. But God made a way for us to be forgiven so we can have eternal life in Heaven. All we have to do is recognize our sinfulness and accept that Jesus paid the penalty for our sin when he died on the cross and rose again from the grave.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Everyone is a little bit of Irish

Saturday is St Patrick's Day. So let's celebrate!

 The closest Shamrock table linen I had.

 
  Waiting for some delicious scones to come out of the oven.

 And of course we will enjoy some Green Tea :-)

A Romantic Retreat

Wouldn't this be delightful to find at a Bed and Breakfast..

My daughter has this beautiful antique bedspread, not quite big enough for my bed. So I reversed the colors and used my beautiful Chaps bedspread and laid the antique one at the foot.

My Limoges china cup and saucer.

I found these gorgeous plates at Goodwill. I was sorry there were only three sets.

The Rose plates are Georgian by Homer Laughlin
The Pink square plate is Octaparagon by Ranmaru

The antique chairs were left behind when we bought our house. A treasure.

What a delightful way to enjoy a Romantic Breakfast.
