Metamorphosis Monday

A few weeks ago, Susan from Between Naps on the Porch shared her beautiful winter bed, showcasing the Tartan linens that she is planning to use.  I've not been able to find anything similar that was not flannel, but found something that makes me just as happy.

In the summer months, my bed looks like this..........

Chaps bedding in soft floral colors.

Then from Christmas through Valentine's, the bedding would change to look like this..........

I love my Chaps red floral comforter, and wanted to use it to warm up the winter months.

When Susan shared her new look, I started on my hunt.  Going with Pottery Barn type linens was a little out of my range, so when I spotted these linens at Walmart, I thought it was just the look I could live with.

If I want to go with a darker look, I can turn the comforter over and use the darker herringbone pattern.

But for now, I am very happy with the new Winter look.

So inviting! I usually switch to flannel sheets in the winter, but that's about it...maybe I should put a little more effort into this! :)

All three designs look so nice. It is great that you can change them out over the year. And always feel like you have something new. Very nice bedroom.

I love the red floral bedding for winter. I like to change my bedding according to the seasons too. Once in summer, spring, winter and fall (however I just change out my duvet covers). You have a very peaceful and beautiful bedroom! What a blessing :) Thank you for sharing it on the Art of Home-Making Mondays!
