VTT - Brownie fun

It is always fun to participate in Vintage Thingie Thursday. With our move, I have not had a lot of time to really show some of my fun finds. But today I thought I would share these cameras that my daughter has collected.

I know she has several more, but these were the only two that I had captured recently.

Please be sure to stop by Coloradolady's blog and visit the other fun Vintage Thingies.

Great post. My Granny had the Brownie Hawkeye. My daughter has it now :)

That is an expensive collection, but a good one as well. I recall seeing the Brownie in the last photo.

I like the first one because it is a box camera that actually looks like a box and it has a nice design on it too.

I recently sold a Brownie to a young college girl and she was so excited! How nice to see that there are others who are into cameras as well ...

I had a olden Brownie camera that I would give my eye teeth to have now. Where did it go, I wonder?

Thanks for sharing these with us today.

Oh how wonderful, I had one just like those two. I remember you had to attach a flash bulb holder to have a flash on the brownie. Then there came Polaroid, those pictures do not last long. What great memories your post brings back. I was about 15 when I got that second brownie. Been shooting ever since.

I can remember when the ONLY camera our family OWNED was a black box camera and we NEVER ONCE thought it'd ever be a valuable vintage item!

Funny how that works - - -

Such charm! Love those old cameras. Do they still work? Can you still buy film for them?

Those are very nice. It just jolted my memory of my dad using one similar to those when I was very young. Oh, gosh. I'm getting old!

Great cameras. My dad used to have a Brownie. I wish I still had it.

My dad had photography in his blood from an early age, but he did not keep those cameras - he just wasn't much of a collector. These are real gems. Great post - it makes me wonder just what he was using back then.
