Metamorphosis Monday

Back a few weeks ago I shared where we were going with the fireplace in our new home here. So I thought I would update you on the completed project.

This is what we started with

The next step - finding a mantle we liked.

Adding a hearth.

New tile and a paint job.

The completed fireplace.

I am linking up with Metamorphosis Monday. Check out the other amazing transformations.

ooooo. I have to do this same project (among a million others) in our new house and i've been dreading it because i can't decide how i want the surround to look. I love your tile choice - and i love the way you added the hearth - great job :)

I'm jealous of what you started with, let alone what you finished with. Great room! I just found your comment on my post, and therefore your blog. Looking forward to snooping around, can't wait to see more of the house! Thanks for commenting.

Oh that looks just beautiful! I love white woodwork and miss it now that I have darker tones in my new house. Great job! It is gorgeous!

Great job! We've gone through a fireplace makeover, too. And have THREE more to do. You did a fabulous job with the scale. I especially like the added height you gave to the top of the mantle.
