Learn to Pray
Learn to Pray by Robert M. West is a small book packed with information about prayer. 66 Bible prayer passages that are explained in every day language.
Prayer is important, as a connection with God. I like how this book gives details from various scripture and explains it in modern every day language. And then he gives additional scriptures to back it up. Adding what others say brings to light substantial quotes by other sources.
Many of the subjects affect us daily. Such as
Learn to Pray with Thanksgiving
Learn to Pray with Forgiveness
Learn to Pray for Guidance
Learn to Pray for Children
and so on for 66 lessons.
So how do we learn to pray? We go to the Bible for examples and instructions. It helps us understand what prayer is and how its done and why we need it in our lives. Prayer is something we need - direct communication with the God of the universe. This little book will help you begin your journey of discovery that can change your life.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Net Galley and the publisher. All views expressed are my honest opinion.

Pink Sky
I could not help but notice several blogs posting pink skies during this time of year. I ran outside to capture this sky one evening. Not as vibrant but just as pretty.

Another New Year
As we embark on yet another New Year, there are uncertainties that lie ahead. The Lord does not send out a calendar of events that will happen in life. We are more likely to be taken by surprise as the story unfolds. God, in His great goodness, knew that we could not handle knowing what each day would bring. So we step out in faith, facing each day as a new adventure. However, our loving Father is not ignorant of each step. Even when we cannot feel His presence, He is with us.
