Teacup Tuesday

This teacup was gift from my daughter one year for Isn't it beautiful? I love the dainty blue picture. And what really sends me is the words surrounding the saucer.

It says "May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you peace." Number 6:24-26

The cup and saucer are Kensington Blue.

My daughter knows how much I really like blue and white china. So she also gave me the teapot to go along with it.

Sigh, I wish you could join me for a spot of tea and a cream scone.

Have a most tealightful day!

Prayer

"We cannot run our spiritual operations on the prayers of the past generations. Many people believe in the efficacy of prayer, but not many people pray. Prayer is the easiest and hardest of all things. It is the simplest and the most sublime, the weakest and the most powerful. Its results lie outside the range of human possibilities; they are limited only by the omnipotence of God." E. M. Bounds on Prayer

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray.

(Luke 18:1)

Vintage Sheets - my new love

I have become enamored with Vintage sheets. I had a few sheets, but after seeing some quilts made up in blog land, I've been more on the hunt for them.

This quilt sent me over the edge and gave me a goal.

Anyone Can Quilt

I also found these blogs where vintage sheets reign.

The Vintage Sheet Blog

So take a look. You may fall in love. As for me, I found these two pillowcases over the weekend.

Vintage sheets are getting harder and harder to find in our area. Maybe everyone else is falling in love with these soft lovely oldies.

(Since having a computer virus, I am not able to download pictures from my camera. So until my computer Geek son can fix the problem, I hope you don't mind if I re-run a few older posts :-)

Vintage Tea Tray

For years I have seen and heard about these tea trays.

Whenever I find them at Antique shops, they are very pricey. Like $35 and up!!

So imagine my surprise and delight when I came across this tray at the Goodwill last week!!!

I don't know if you can see the price, but I paid $2.06 for it. It is not pristine, as it has some scratches and some worn areas. But hey, it works for a great decoration.

And the price was definitely right!

It's a virus :-(

For the first time in 15+ years of having a computer with internet, my computer has been attacked with a virus. It must be a pretty nasty one too, because my son, the computer geek, has been working on it for two days. I asked him if he could fix it, and could it be salvaged? He told me he was not sure if it would be salvaged, BUT he could fix it. I asked him if I would lose a lot, and he said...... maybe.............

Sigh.

So I probably will be on a "not" planned cyber vacation.

Take care. I hope to be back soon.
