All is not lost

This past weekend was spent in eastern North Carolina. I was sure that I would find some little treasure in our travels. We visited several antique shops, and even the Sleepy Poet in Charlotte which houses 55,000 square feet of antique goodies.

I came away from our trip with no found treasure. But all is not lost! I paid a visit to our local Hospice Thrift store. They were busy restocking shelves as I browsed around. I found this pretty little glass plate.

I thought it was so unique with the little handles. It goes very nicely with my fall candle.
I also found these cute little fall pillows for about 50c a piece.

But that is not all!

I found this crochet piece in the bottom of a bucket that had napkins in it.

Now let me tell you something. About 25 years ago, I saw one of these pieces at my hubby's aunts house. I loved it, and kept a look out whenever I stopped in an antique shop. Oh I've found them before, but they were BIG bucks. Well the buck stopped here, because it was a whopping $1.29 at the thrift store!

And there still one more! And ooooo I am so excited about this one.

I kept digging around in this napkin bucket. And then I saw it........

Now peeps, I never would have dreamed to find this kind of treasure. It is such a beautifully crocheted baby bib. And, are you ready, all for the grand total of -

$1.49!!!

All I can say is.......... keep thriftin'!

Please be sure to stop by and visit Colorado Lady's blog as she hosts VTT. She has lots of places to scout out, who are showing off their vintage goodies today.

I've also signed up with Thrift Store Thursday. Take a peek!

I loved and enjoyed seeing all your great bargains. However, I do not recall seeing a baby bib like that. It is darling.

Wow, Those are prices I would love! The bib
is gorgeous. I never knew they made bibs that
look like this. How are you going to display this bib? :) Just wondering

I love everything that you're sharing today! I've never seen a baby bib like that. I wonder if it was ever used, because it looks to be in great condition. Baby food is notorious for staining! And I'm happy for you that you found that crocheted bread piece, at your price. Love the little fall pillows too!
Happy VTT!

Very special finds. Could the baby bib be something to be used over Sunday clothes just for drivel? A normal fabric bib would cover or replace this when it was time to eat?

That baby bib is amazing - and that must have been some neat baby! Cause my son was too messy for a bib like that!
