How do you use Baskets?

There are a few things that I have a weakness towards. Hearts, tea cups, fabric, pretty dishes and baskets...... I love baskets. I have quite a few around our home. We use them to hold all sorts of things.

This basket belonged to my Mom. I can remember she would lay a napkin inside and serve bread in it when I was a little girl. It has a plastic type rim around the top. It is very fragile so I display it on a rack in my kitchen.

This is an old wire basket. It is such a fun looking basket.

I'm not really sure how old it is, but I have enjoyed the unusual shape.

The Ivy House

I am always fascinated with old houses. They hold so much character and mystery. On road trip a couple of years ago we came across this interesting old house.

This is the Ivy House.

It's a restaurant now, but I imagine it was a Grand Lady in it's heyday.

Making room for our lady

We've had a little metamorphosis happen in our yard lately.

Since we are parking our lady Airstream trailer in our back yard, hubby decided that we needed to move the fence to allow more space in the back yard.

This is how the fence looked when we first bought this house.

The fence was about 12 feet back from the edge of the house line.
So the old fence came down, and a new one is under construction

Greeting from............

Greetings from Tampa Florida

I have lived in Tampa for most of my entire life. It's been a city of change over the years. While doing a little research,  I found this post on Timeless America that brought back so many memories of how our town was.

I hope you enjoy reading about the way things were.

Once upon a time............

I used to love to read fairy tales. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel. What little girl doesn't dream of "happily ever after"?

....... Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a little girl who had a dream. It was a big dream, because she did not know that dreams could come true. She lived in a big city, where lots of people lived, but felt all alone. She had a sweet mother, who worked hard and loved the little girl very much.

One day the Mother decided to move back to her home town. So the little girl and her Mother moved to a place of tropical paradise. A small town, very different than where she lived before.  The little girl went to school and worked to help her Mother.

Then came a day when she met a handsome young Prince. At first it was a road paved with gravel and stone. There were highs and lows, up and downs.

The little girl did not have an earthly father to talk to, so she talked with her Heavenly Father. It was a troublesome time for the little girl, as she came to this crossroad. But she asked her Father to help her. She had such a peace knowing that He would direct her towards the right path.

The handsome young Prince was also at a crossroad. But in time they both came to understand the meaning of
