Transformation

Transforming our Family Room into an intimate dining area took a little bit of creative thinking and work.

Our Family room and kitchen dining area normally look like this -

We hosted a Rehearsal Dinner in our home for about 30 people.  So the transformation happened like this -

Removal of sofa, rugs, tables and chairs

set up 8 foot tables and folding chairs

My daughter worked her magic with decorating the tables.

The coffee station proved to be very popular on a cold night.

The heart shaped napkin tutorial was found HERE.  Perfect for Valentine's Day, Anniversary or Wedding party.

Candles are lit, we are just waiting for the guests to arrive.

Buffet provided by Holy Hog Bar-B-Que.

It turned out to be a delightful evening.

This is SO inspired and inspiring!!!! We have a very similar layout and we could host people by doing the same thing you did!!!! LOVE the white tablecloths, red hearts, candles! Everything looks SO LOVELY and the kitchen is "handy" for the serving table! The "coffee bar" is a great idea! We host our family reunion each year and this is a great idea!!! Thank you so much for posting!!!

First of all, your home is simply beautiful! And secondly, what a blessing to be able to host a larger gathering in your pretty home :)

I like seeing how people transform their homes to accommodate large crowds and you've done a marvelous job. Your daughter did create some "table magic" with the heart napkin fold and cylinder vase candles. I can imagine how much more special it was to have this event in your home than a hall or restaurant. Always worth the trouble of figuring out how to set up!
