Quiet reflection
Patriotic holidays are normally the time when we enjoy picnics, bar-b-ques, football games and other outdoor events.
But sometimes......... it is a time of quiet and reflection. And enjoy a peaceful dinner on the porch.
As we observe Memorial Day, I am thankful to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives to keep our country free. I am thankful for a Savior who saved me from the punishment I deserve and gave me the free gift of Life eternal.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Happy Mothers Day
May this day be a special encouragement to you by knowing that your labor is not in vain and that you are sowing for a harvest that will multiply for generations to come.

Gardenias and Jasmines
My beautiful Gardenia bush has been sharing it's fragrant flowers in abundance. Between the Gardenia and Jasmines, the fragrance has been a delight to the senses. Join me as we sit on the porch and breathe in the sweet floral incense.
The lace tablecloth belonged to my Mom and she had it for as long as I can remember. The luncheon napkins were a gift from my step-mother who brought them back from Spain in the early 70's.
Pottery Teapot made in England.
Crystal Pitcher was a gift from my hubby's Aunt.
The inspiration for this post.
I have a chair waiting for you.

New travel friend
For years we owned and traveled with a 2008 Airstream. As the years have passed, we were doing more and more repairs and upgrades on the silver bullet. After something happened to a wheel we decided it was time to sell it. So in July a lovely lady came and wanted to buy the Airstream. We were sad to see her go, as we had so many great memories while traveling.
My hubby thought we would look at motor coaches. And after several rounds at dealerships, we came across Coach House motor homes. Built in south Florida, it was an easy drive for us to take a look. We were impressed. And found out that a used unit was becoming available.
And here she is. We took her for a maiden run, and loved it. We are looking forward to many miles of comfortable traveling.
