Sunlit Sunday

Yes, this is my next project.  We've experienced our last bit of cold, so the plants are going into the ground next week.

Relax, throw open the windows of our stuffy little souls and let the cooling breezes of a better world sweep through! What will all our petty worries amount to fifty years from now? Rejoice in the old simplicities which no man can take away—like spring and green woods and mocking-birds. And, better still, rest our souls in the goodness of God and His amazing grace. –V. Havner

"May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD." Psalm 104:34

I went to the store this morning and was going to buy plants but decided to wait another week, still a little too cold for me, I am so ready to start planting.

Oh, how wonderful for you! We have two months before we can do that. I long for spring and the flowers the season brings.

What better way to live than to "rest our souls in the goodness of God"! I love that! I cannot imagine being able to plant flowers this soon. I am sooo ready to dig in the dirt and plant...Come on Spring! Happy planting~ Blessings!

WOW! The plants are going in the ground next week. How exciting! It is unusually cold in my parts so I'm going to wait longer. Typically, it wouldn't be so cold still but this year has been very atypical! Happy planting!!!

I won't be thinking of planting flower for another couple of months... My flower gardens are still under many feet of snow. Here from sunlit Sunday.

I got some gerbera daisies last weekend. It is almost time to plant! YeeHaw. Nothing like playing in the dirt!

There are a few snowflakes falling here, so no planting for a long while yet. All in good time.

Have fun working your fingers through the earth! I'll be knitting a warm, wooly sweater for these crisp winter days. :)

I meant to add a thank-you to my comment for bringing these plants to "Sunlit Sunday".

Enjoy planting your flowers, we'll think about this in a couple of months. Our rule of thumb in my part of Ontario is not to plant until the 24th of May.
I liked the quote you shared.

I agree with everything you said in your post as well as the Psalm.

Beautiful thoughts. It's still too cold here to put much outside. But we planted fruit trees yesterday. The ground is very muddy.
Have a wonderful week.
