I have a little weakness for hearts, tea cups, fabric, pretty dishes and baskets...... I love baskets. I have quite a few around our home. We use them to hold all sorts of things.
I found a little basket at the thrift store one day. It was very reasonably priced, and I loved the colorful little stripe that runs through it. It was the perfect size for Easter eggs.
It is just the right size for the little bunny. She is holding her little Easter basket which is actually one that my son made from clay many years ago.
This basket belonged to my Mom. I can remember she would lay a napkin inside and serve bread in it when I was a little girl. It has a plastic type rim around the top. It is very fragile so I display it on a rack in my kitchen.
Here is an old wire basket.
I don't know if it is terribly old, but I have enjoyed the cute shape.
I found this adorable shabby chic white basket one day at Target.
Of course I had to fill it with sweet treats.
We have so many baskets that are filled with magazines, books, yarn, even soaps and lotions.
But I think my very favorite basket is not really a basket at all.

Hi, Jocelyn,
You and I love some of the same things. I enjoyed seeing all of your baskets and hearing the stories behind them. My favorite I think is that wire one. Enjoy your day, sweet friend! Vicki p.s. Of course, I love that cute bunny, too. We love bunnies at Bunny Cottage!!
Oh how pretty are all the baskets. My favorite is the glass and wire ones. Happy VTT

As a Basket collector, I very much admire all of yours. Like you, I sure like the one hanging on your wall....I guess it's the quilter in me. Your collection is very special..thanks for sharing.
Today I'm sharing a special post about the 1940 US Census Community Project. I hope you will stop by CollectInTexas Gal and see how this information might be helpful to you...especially if you are interested in your Family's Genealogy...Sue
I am never that lucky in finding things. You did good.
I love your Mom's basket, how unusual with the plastic around the edge.
Hi just popping in from Thrifty Things Friday. I love baskets too. I collect pine needle baskets but also have several larger non pine needle but unique baskets too. I love the backstory behind the bread basket. Gives it special meaning!~Ames
Wonderful baskets, all of them! I use baskets a lot around the home and at dinner table so, I love finding pretty ones while out thrifting. Thank you for sharing at TTF and have a wonderful week!
