In the Garden

Isn't there something just so sweet and tender about a rose in your garden?

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses,

And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.

And he walks with me, and he talks with me, and he tells me I am his own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.
"In the Garden" C. Austin Miles

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As we meet and touch, each day,
The many travelers on our way,
Let every such brief contact be
A glorious, helpful ministry;
The contact of the soil and seed,
Each giving to the other's need,
Each helping on the other's best,
And blessing, each, as well as blest.
How wonderful to read lyrics to one of my most favorite hymns. I too posted about a rose (bud) one early morning that in deed still had dew drops, and of course I had to get my camera. ...It's a post found in early Feburary at my blog, if you may find the time to check it out.
...visiting through Spiritual Sundays and looking forward to visit again. Blessings!
The Methodist Church in my samll town played theri chimes everyday at noon and that very Hymn was always in the mix. I grew up hearing my mother sing the words along with the chimes. I sag it to my children while sitting on our front porch. Hymns were the only songs I knew all the words to! Thanks you for reminding me of such a lovley memory
