The Sewing Bee

For years we sewed and quilted together. But in the last year life has sort of gotten in the way. Caring for aging parents, work schedules, travel, family responsibilities........... there are just times when you cannot work/play in a Sewing Bee.

Over the holidays the quilting buddies got together for a little Tea and lunch. It was so enjoyable to catch up with each other.

Fresh baked scones.

Fresh garden salad with strawberries, Gorgonzola cheese and Sweet Roasted pecans.

Salad dressings served in crystal creamers.

Pasta E Fagioli soup.

Delicious desserts (Recipe HERE)

What a lovely way to end the holidays.

Hi there, The very first thing I noticed is that I love the picture of the little girls sewing-wouldn't that make a wonderful quilt fabric?! I loved seeing your luncheon-can I come hang out with you all, lol. It is so elegant and the food looks so good. Hope you find more time to spend with your quilting friends.
Hugs today.

Very nice presentation. Surely your guests felt very special. People often ask me what to use glass trays for besides celery sticks and cookies. Now I can send them here!

I am wondering if it would be politically incorrect now-a-days to depict pictures of little girls sewing? Such a sweet illustration of simpler times.

Your luncheon made me hungry. The sumptuous salad plate with scones gave me some wonderful ideas for a luncheon sometime soon.

Quilting has been on my mind lately, and I am dreaming of some projects that make my heart sing!

I hope you and your quilting buddies get together soon for quilting too.

Everything looks so yummy and delicious, right from the start. Something about clear plates that is amazing on the table. The salad looks scrumptious, so do the salad dressings in creamers... lovely thanks for sharing today.
