The Dining Experience

Moving into a new home always calls for a change in ideas. I didn't have a very good picture, but this is how the dining room looked before we bought the house a year ago.

And this is a picture of the empty dining room, a clean slate.

The dining room starting to take shape.

The china hutch is a Thomasville reproduction piece that the former owners left behind. It was originally set up in the family room, but when I saw it I knew it had to take center stage in the dining room :-)

Here are some pictures of tablescapes that we've enjoyed in our new dining room.

Thanks to all who are nice enough to leave a comment letting me know you have enjoyed your visit here. I hope you come back and visit again :-)

Your tablescapes and dining room are so pretty! I remember when you were moving at the same time as me last year. I hope you've enjoyed a lot of happy times around that dining table and have many more to come.

Your dining room and entry are the exact same layout as mine! I have double beveled glass doors and an arched window. Unbelievable likeness. You did a great job with yours. Come check me out. Just type dining room in the search box or look at categories on my blog MAY DAYS.
Cheers!

I love it. It's so elegant. I'm just about to embark on a great dining room adventure myself. I would love it to have at least some of that same feeling. I like your light too.
