FOR TODAY February 8, 2010...
Outside my window..... it's still been very cold
I am thinking..... that Valentine's Day is coming
I am thankful for... God's Word and the insights He gives me there
I am wearing..... warm casual clothes
I am remembering..... that one year ago my mother in love became very ill. The family continues to care for her 24/7
I am going..... to try to be consistent with my walking
I am currently reading..... my daily devotional
I am hoping..... to start on my son's school records
On my mind..... how much I miss talking with my BFF
Noticing that..... the days are getting longer
Pondering these words..... ""For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
From the kitchen..... soup
Around the house..... it's quiet this morning
One of my favorite things..... is to hear the birds singing
From my picture journal.....
West Virginia

I love that verse from Jeremiah. I have shared that with my children many times, even those that are still unsaved. I want to encourage them that even when things look dark, the Lord still has a plan and there IS hope.
That's a lovely picture you shared, as well. I love the snow :-)
Hope you have a blessed day, and keep warm!

Sounds like a nice, peaceful day for you Jocelyn! We're expecting 6-12" of snow starting tonight and ending Wednesday, so I guess I'll do my grocery shopping today instead of tomorrow. I hate trying to push a grocery cart through a snowy parking lot!
Happy Monday!

That verse is one of my favorites. It has helped me to keep my eyes focused and my outlook hopeful in the toughest of times. So glad to find your blog today. Blessings to you!
The snow is falling here too. You have a lovely blog!!
"consistent with walking" oh, err, yes, I guess i am supposed to be doing that, but it is so cold out there at the moment!
Loved stopping by your blog! It is lovely blog and I so enjoyed my visit. Have a wonderful week!
I love that verse, so much so it is part of my header. Snow is coming down now here in NW AR. It is so pretty!
WOW!! Florida's been cold, but not like West Virginia! I'm sooo glad I live in South Florida, though it's been colder than ever this winter. I'll take 40 degrees over shoveling snow any day!
Thanks for visiting my daybook. Have a blessed week.
Hello, I love your picture. My children's favorite song is Country Roads by John Denver...They play it almost every day and when I saw the words "West Virginia" I had to smile.
Lovely cold photo. I love that verse too. It was nice meeting you. I am going to go see your quilting.
Have a Blessed Week,
Sherry
I am assuming "mother in love" is your mother-in-law? If so, I love how you have changed it around. That is one of the things I dread the most of my sons being married. I hate to possibly be put in the in-law category. It sounds so cold and icky.
Blessings,
Patricia
