These Tangled Threads

These Tangled Threads by Sarah Loudin Thomas is a story about the Biltmore Industries in Asheville North Carolina between 1916 and early 1920's.

Lorna Blankenship was a master weaver, who trained new hires to weave. High spirited Gentry was never interested in weaving, but her grandfather abandoned her at the Biltmore when she was just 13 years old. Lorna and Gentry clashed right from the start. Woodworker Arthur Westcott had a patient heart of gold, and would do anything for Lorna. As they seek redemption from lies and mistakes that were intertwined from past choices, there is forgiveness, grace and unconditional love. Healing wounds and setting free from guilt and loss.

The story covers different time periods. Getting the characters and timeline straight was confusing at first. But over all, the story was well written.

This was a clean historical fiction novel.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Bethany House. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
