Eclipse 2017

I was in Ohio in August 2017 when the eclipse happen during my stay there.

My friend and I made these boxes to watch the eclipse.

It was a fun project, and we did watch the eclipse for the brief time it passed over.

The beauty of this sunset that followed made it worthwhile.

Beautiful sunset. We only had a very partial eclipse in my area.

Good sky shot.

I made a similar box in 2017 and then I got a pair of glasses. This year I went straight for the glasses.

A very nice sunset. My eclipse was 26%. I saved my glasses from Oct. and it was a nice clear bite out of the bottom.

I came so close to making one of those viewing boxes for this eclipse. That must have been fun, seeing the eclipse shadow without needing the glasses. Nice sunset, too.

The eclipse is so brief, but exciting to see. The 2017 one (I think that was the year) came right over our town. The beautiful sunset is also quite exciting.

I was one of those odd persons who just enjoyed watching those who were themselves watching the eclipse. :-)

I would have loved to have seen the eclipse - never seen a full one.
