Celebration table

Did you pick out Wedding China when you got married?

I'm not sure many brides hold to that tradition much anymore.

We live in an age of being practical and economical.

But when I got married, we always picked a China pattern, glassware and perhaps a silverplate place setting.

I love my China service.  Trudy by Noritake.  It is elegant, yet goes with everything.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoying my Wedding china.  I hope to use it for many years to come.

Love your china pattern because it is so neutral you can put it with any color tablecloth or napkins or
goblets or flowers. I love plain
white anything, just so fresh and
pretty. Is there a touch of grey
in it, looks like maybe there is.
Anyway, really liked it, and it looks like the table was set in
the 1970 or there abouts. lol
Blessings, Nellie

Your china is lovely, and can be used in so many ways! When my daughters got married, I encouraged them to get china. They resisted at first, but now are glad they have sets to use for holidays and special occasions. With starting new families, they could never do it now! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

I was way too practical to pick china when I married, but now I have my mother's which is very special to me. I recently saw your pattern at an antique show. I like its simplicity.

That's a great pattern...every bride should still pick out china, crystal, and silver.. It's just the right thing to do. LOL

Your china is so delicate and very bridal with the white table and pretty accents! As mother of a bride to be, I can tell you for sure that the brides still pick out china, and still get questioned by the groom as to whether it is needed! :) My china from my 1980 wedding has been discontinued and now is very special to me. Your table is beautiful. Linda

The selections you pick out as a bride are special. They represent hope and happiness of the beginning of a new home. Yes, our tastes change but there is something special about what made us happy at the time. Sentiment is an individual thing.

This is a fun post and a fun theme. There is a lot to think about.

What a pretty pattern! I still love my wedding china pattern and crystal. Mine was a neutral pattern, too (Wedding Band by Mikasa) and mixes beautifully with anything that I use now.

Love your pattern. My mom would have given you two thumb's up. She kept trying to tell me to choose a white one back in the day, but I just had to have my ivory, pink and green floral china. I still love my china pattern, but I've actually listened to my mom after all these years and started what I call my "anniversary" china this year. It's WHITE, like yours.

I love your table, and count me as one who loves it when bride chooses china and finery. In my neck of the woods, they still do.

Pretty! Girls now don't know how to cook, let alone set a table, and if they need to eat something at home, the dish has to go in the dishwasher. I personally think they are missing out, dont you?

I wish when I got married we had picked a china pattern and registered. I had a small 25 person wedding and honestly thought I was being extravagant if I asked. Everything seemed so expensive to me, but I really was young and what did I know at the age of 21! lol
Thanks so much for linking up with me, I really appreciate it and hope you got some great traffic to showcase your wonderful table....
XO

Beautiful and elegant! We didn't pick out china when we got married because we were both in our 40's, and had several sets of vintage china already. Hugs, Holly

What a pretty pattern! The style reminds me of my wedding china, Lenox Windsong. Yes, in the early '70s when we married, it was traditional to choose "good" and "everyday" china, and one friend also chose a third, "in-between" pattern.

Adorable... as many said, the pattern and the neutral touch.

Happy day.

Your wedding china is practical as it will go with any colour of accessories. I did not have the pleasure of choosing china or silver and eventually bought a set of china that I use every day.

Beautiful! I agree, I don't think many brides today are interested in fine china. It's a shame that the art of the table is often overlooked. I'm hopeful that these young women will realize that dining at a beautiful table is truly a special event.
Thanks for sharing your pretty set.

Your china is Lovely. White with platinum trim is beautifully understated and I love the way it can combine with blues and pinks. White on white makes a stunning table too.

Beautiful china, you have set a lovely table! The brides I know are still picking wedding china. If you don't get it when you start out other things seem to take priority! Thanks for taking the challenge!
