This year we celebrated Thanksgiving a little differently. We invited three International University students to share Thanksgiving with us. We also broke from tradition, as we did not serve Turkey and stuffing.
Table is set for our family and guests.
Start off with an Artichoke Dip appetizer.
Our guests are intrigued with the slicing of the meat.
We are ready to serve!
We were honored to host two students from Taiwan, and one from Sweden.
My daughter could not resist taking on the challenge of playing the young lady from Taiwan.
Showing hospitality to new friends made for a very rewarding Thanksgiving. Maybe a new tradition??

Over the years we have hosted many, many newcomers to our table. Never fancy, mostly food grown on our own farm and gardens, lots of people and loads of fun. And it was a great lesson for our children as they were growing up, to experience different cultures and languages in their home. We always said ' there are no strangers, just friends we haven't met yet.')
You truly captured the spirit of Thanksgiving!
What fun and looks like everyone had a great time! Looks like a winning new tradition!
Warmly,

What a lovely idea to share Thanksgiving with some students, I'm sure they enjoyed your hospitality. I'm not familiar with Boston butt, tasty no doubt. ;-)
It could be a fun new tradition.
Oh I love this idea, we hosted foreign students years ago and it was always such a blessing. Thanks so much for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, marty
