Icy Blue

This is my first table since having surgery on my wrist in December.  It's been a slow and painful recovery and I still have a long way to go.

This is the first time I've felt like playing with my dishes, so I hope you will be kind with my first effort.  It was a little bit of a challenge gathering things up with one hand.

I love these blue dinner plates I found at Goodwill about a year ago.  I googled the letters on the back of the plate -mse.  What a surprise and delight to discover they are a Martha Stewart line. The salad plates are Mornay by Mikasa, Flatware Venetian by Community.

The Tea Cozy was a gift from my sweet friend Marydon.

The table is lovely, I can't imagine doing all this with one hand. I like the MS blue plates you found and the square teacups are quite unusual.

I love the pretty MS plates. Your seta up is beautiful and the pieces of ice like runner, is simply perfect, along with the blue touches. A perfect winter's table.

A perfect winter tablescape -- the soft colors make the table look like it was kissed by the evening frost. Beautiful ... and my favorite color!

This table looks very pretty. I am glad your wrist is healing and I am sure it will take time. You don't want any setbacks. Isn't it hard to hold back when you are ambitious and eager. I look forward to seeing you post this on "Friends Sharing Tea".

You did a great job with just one hand to use. It's a very pretty and peaceful tablescape. Love the shade of blue.

Hi Jocelyn,
You set a lovely table with only one good hand. I had sprained my hand and wrist earlier in the month and I had trouble just with that! I wish you a complete and speedy recovery. Thank you for coming to tea and I hope you have a beautiful day. Take care!

Blessings,
Sandi

You poor baby!!! I'm so sorry!!! I hope the painful part is over. I will (finally!) be having my 1st shoulder surgery in March or early April, and I have a feeling I'm going to be in the same boat, different paddle. I'm NOT looking forward to it other than that it might rid me of the original pain. Anyway, I am so sorry to hear that you have been down and out. You did a wonderful job on your "comeback" table! :-) I don't know how in the world you were able to get that napkin fold goin' on with one hand, sister, but you did it!!! Take it slow and feel better soon!

Jocelyn, beautiful icy table...and it is freezing cold here, never got above 20° today. Love those Fire King Charm cups...they go so nicely with the MS plates, which I think you will find to be quite versatile.
I hope your wrist is healing well, I know it isn't nearly as fast as you would like!

Icy Blue is the perfect title for this tablescape, yet it doesn't seem cold at all. Maybe, it's that tea cozy that makes the difference! I had to give up tablescaping for awhile after I had knee surgery (all my dishes are in the basement) but I can't imagine being without the use of one hand! Well, you did a wonderful job with this table, and I hope you heal up quickly!
