While visiting my BFF a few years ago, I was a guest in her basement
apartment. She has it decorated so beautifully. One thing that
stood out to me was how she uses her quilts around her home.
This vintage Singer stand at one time had a top on it.
But my BFF took off the top and had her Dad make rods to fit across the frame. She now uses it as a quilt rack.
A simple idea made into a lovely display area :-)

What a great idea!! It's a great way to repurpose the sewing machine base!!
What a super idea for a quilt rack! Wonderful. Not only practical, but vintage character as well.

That's a great idea! I actually use the treadle irons to treadle with!
I have seen many different uses for old machine, but never this. What a wonderful idea.
what a great idea. It looks fabulous and certainly original. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I saved one of these from my grandmother, but never did anything with it... it's still out in the garage somewhere... hmmmmmm!
Very pretty!
Nice way to display a quilt. Love it.
I love to repurpose! That's a great way to reuse the sewing machine frame.
What a fantastic way to display a quilt. I would have never thought of that!
