Sunshine Blues

After digging out my blue dishes for the hutch, it seemed only appropriate to dress the table with blue. The flowers added a splash of yellow and red, so I included my Smith Taylor Smith yellow bowls.

I love mixing some of my Russian china with the Blue Willow and pieces I've purchased over the years from Cracker Barrel.

Beautiful pieces! The blue & white lightens up the feel for these hot August days. The great thing about blue & white dishes is that you can easily mix & match them with abandon. Love it!

I'm always thrilled to find a tablescape design in my favorite blue, white, & yellow color combination. You and I could have worked together this week and hosted a large group...we were both working with prompting from the same design muse. I really like your Russian china. I cherish the couple of pieces that I have. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherey Kay

You have set a pretty table! Yellow and blue go so well together to set a cheery table. I'm thinking about getting some Blue Willow dishes....thinking really hard about it! I have a few pieces of this, but not enough to do anything, but hang on the wall.

Thank you for dropping by HomeHavenMinistry. I think the house in the post is probably built around 1880. Just a guess. I don't know for sure. With Newton, Kansas becoming a town in 1871 and the Civil War ending 1865ish some would say that is close enough to the Civil War era.
Sweet Blessings to you,
