Okay, so I've been behind.
I've always enjoyed reading, and when I find a book that is entertaining and holds my interest, I can't get enough.
Recently I checked this book out of the library.
For years friends had mentioned how much they enjoyed Jan Karon's books about Father Timothy and the little town of Mitford. During the years that I homeschooled my children, there was not much time for pleasure reading. However, after reading At Home in Mitford, I was captured. I had to read more.
I found books #2 and 3 at the thrift store, and I've already consumed both of them.
I've not been able to put my hands on the next in the series, not even at the library, but I'm not giving up. Until I can find Out to Canaan, I am reading A Common Life. Even though it is out of sequence, it covers the marriage of Father Timothy and Cynthia Coppersmith, which follows after the unexpected proposal in These High Green Hills.
Do you have a book that has captured you? Do you become consumed with reading every line? I've always been a huge Jane Austen fan. I've read all her books several times, and even have copies of the several adaptations in movie form.
Sometimes it's fun to get lost in a book, and very few have held my interest in the past. But Jan Karon and Jane Austen invite you into the lives of their characters.
And then they leave you with wanting more :-)
Have a great day!

I'm a Jan Karon fan.
I have all of the Jan Karon books and treasure them...rereading them often. My husband was a pastor so we found them especially a blessing.
