Please do not feed

After posting some pictures of our property, there were some comments asking if we had any alligators in our lake. The answer is yes, there have been alligators in the lake. One that was large enough to have an Alligator hunter come out and trap. Most fresh water lakes in Florida tend to have alligators. I've not heard of any sightings since that big one was taken out a few years ago. However, it is not a good idea to be on friendly terms with any alligators, so please don't feed them. They will bite the hand that feeds them.

Oh wow, I guess that's rather exciting! But I bet you can't let small pets roam around there. They would certainly be a tasty snack, I'm sure!
Have a great day!

Back in my younger...and stupid.... days, I used to go to Lakeland where old "Blinkie" lived, the one eyed alligator and feed him marshmallows. I'd faint if my neices did that now!!! So from your post I see you're a Florida girl too! Not sure where but "howdy neighbor" !
