Spruce them up

Many years ago, I met a lady who replenished plants in office buildings.  She would take the old ones out, and put new ones in.  She gave me a hint to help spruce up a living plant.

Take mayonnaise......

and wipe down the leaves with a very thin layer.

It would give them shine and luster.

An inexpensive way to spruce up your plants :-)

Hello Jocelyn! I never would have thought to wipe down plants with mayo. Makes sense that it would make them shiny. Thank you for the tip. I took your advice and looked into some squirrel resistant bird feeders on-line but most were quite pricey and my hubby refused to spend that much. Thank goodness, our son came to the rescue and ordered me the metal wrap-around cone which has done a really good job. The critters have tried many times to climb the pole but couldn't get past it. So, they have given up, and we're happy! Some folks wouldn't think that important in light of so many serious goings-on in the world, but when one is shut in as much as I am, the birds bring me a lot of joy! So, thank you, it is because of your prompting that my son looked into himself and got us the cone as a surprise! Hugs to you!
