Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
though stretched from sky to sky.

The ocean, the great lakes remind us of our Creator and His great love for us. Have a blessed weekend!
I often play this old hymn on my piano. The love of God. Immeasurable.
I love the words of that hymn! So profound.
My husband and I traveled with a quartet when we were first married and this was a solo by the tenor. It's a favorite of mine. I love this verse.
