A Laundry Room that works

The Laundry room can be one of the most important rooms in your home. In our old house we had a very small area where the washer and dryer just barely fit. Not much room to do any kind of sorting or folding of clothes.

This is how we saw the laundry room before we bought our new house.

The room cleaned out.

Starting to form a plan.

As we were moving from the old house, this was really what it looked like.

Filling the cabinets with sewing paraphernalia.

And now the Laundry/Sewing room is fully functional.

We moved the small china hutch that was in our old kitchen into this area for extra storage.

I love my little sewing haven.

Looks like your laundry room was perfect for double duty! Must be wonderful to have everything you need close at hand, all in a cheerful environment! Thanks for sharing!

You're a lucky woman to have such a place to work and create.

Your sewing/laundry room is just lovely, and I must admit that I'm jealous! Our laundry "room" is the creepy basement, and I have no real area in the house that I can call my crafting area. Unless you count the dining room table!

There is a special place in heaven for people who can sew. I don't have the right kind of patience for sewing. After "sewing" the small curtains for my craft room the past 2 weeks I am reminded of this. Don't think I will be doing any more sewing projects for a while. :) I know many people have carved out a space in their laundry rooms for crafting. I say more power to you! You did a fantastic job with yours! Thank you for linking up with Roomspiration today!

What better place for sewing than where the iron & washer is! Love your multi-purpose room.
