Thanksgiving blessings
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings. I am very grateful for so many things. A loving husband, a good family, special friends. But I am most grateful to God for the mercies He shows towards me every day.
So at Thanksgiving, it really isn't about the turkey and food. It's about giving Thanks. To our Creator who has given all things for us to enjoy.I started collecting the Friendly Village china several years ago.
Each piece was purchased from our local department store at the end of Christmas sale.
Which had allowed me to collect quite a nice table setting.
Our little Pilgrim was carved by a friend many years ago.
I hope your table will be surrounded by friends and family.
Wishing you a Happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

The Christmas Ring
The Christmas Ring was a delightful heart warming story centered around a lost ring woven together by loss, faith and reblooming love.

Military widow Vanessa searched for years for the ring her father in law found during a WW 2 rescue. Losing it during a skiing vacation with her daughter Sadie. After dropping Sadie off at college, Vanessa visits an antique shop advertising Christmas in July. She meets Ben Miller and is instantly drawn to him. Over time they keep in touch, searching for the missing ring.
Ben's father buys a box of antiques from another shop. not realizing what is inside. The drama that unfolds keeps you in suspense.
Karen Kingsley has a magical way of writing, leaning on faith to resolve the situation. Well written and relatable characters.
I received a complimentary ebook copy from the publisher, through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank a Veteran

Veterans Day is an annual United States holiday honoring military veterans. A federal holiday, it is observed on November 11. It is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I.
In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars.
On this Veteran's Day I hope we will all take a moment to honor and remember the men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve to keep our country free.

Johnson Brothers
I love decorating for fall. The colors add so much warmth to the table.
My sweet hubby gave me this amazing set of Johnson Brothers china. A whole setting for twelve!
Silverware Venetia by Oneida
I found this old wooden tool box during one of our travels. A great find and fun to use as a centerpiece.

Look what happened in my corner of the world
Last week we had a visitor roaming our street.
Yes that is an alligator. Who decided he would hole up in our neighbors front door.
