Sugar Mill Historic State Park

Another unique place we visited on our drive was the Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins. An historic state park located in Homosassa.

The 5,000 acre plantation was destroyed during the Civil War.

  10. Interesting. It looks well built. The sugar industry was a tough one. Many enslaved people died in the hot and exhausting work.
