At Christmas, do you ever just sit by the tree and take in the beauty of the season?

We are going through a time of illness with two family members. I am taking the liberty of reposting from years past. Thank you for understanding.
I hope the illness isn't serious. I have a little bug myself...praying for them.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your repost.
Merry Christmas.

Hi Jocelyn,
ReplyDeleteWe all understand about your re-post and it is lovely! I oftentimes do exactly as you do, ponder the thoughts of the shepherds and the beauty of the tree and this wonderful season we are in. We are blessed! Praying for your family members who are ill and I do hope it is not too serious. Thank you for taking time to visit me and join me for tea. Merry Christmas and take care!
Blessings,
Sandi
Sometimes a repost is new to visitors and I enjoyed this one.
ReplyDeleteI hope the illness is in hand before Christmas so your family can enjoy their blessings together.
A lovely post and well worth repeating. I am sending along prayers for your family members.

ReplyDeleteYour post is simply beautiful. I hope the illness in your family isn't serious and they are back in good health by Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI pray for your family that improvement will come. I loved your repost and that beautiful red transferware. Everything looked lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour re-post is new to me and very lovely. I too, spend many quiet evenings late at night sitting quietly gazing at the tree & lights and thinking. Just thinking about this n' that, and what matters most in life. Jesus is foremost. After the hustle, bustle, and exhaustion of so many things this season seems to require, sitting quietly by myself at night helps me put some things back into perspective.
ReplyDeleteI hope your family members get well, and they are able to rejoice in this season no matter their illness because they have a personal relationship with the Person we celebrate on Christmas.
I get out my Mitford Snowman book every year too! Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! Wvenings and even early mornings while dark with the Christmas tree lights on is so very special. A time to be alone with our thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
