Tea at the Cottage

Last week, as my family traveled into central Georgia for a mini vacation, we stopped in a little town called Pine Mountain. As it was close to lunch time, we stopped in at the Rose Cottage Tea Room.

Lunch was served!

And of course someone had to have a humungous blueberry muffin!

Pretty china dishes were displayed throughout the tea room.

We enjoyed it so much, that my daughter and I drove back on another day for another taste of their cuisine.

    I can't remember where Pine Mountain is. I think it might be over near the Little White House?

    No worries. I have a map and a husband who knows Georgia like the back of his hand. I'm putting this place on my "tag along with him on business and see" list.

    It's been a while since I've visited a tea room....but it really is such a quaint thing to do...I should make a lunch date! Collecting bone china tea cups is one of my many passions...and I always bring something home to add to my growing stock!

    What a lovely little tea room! The food looks good and the atmosphere alone can make a tea room even more enjoyable. I love the china displayed on the shelf!
    Hubby and I stopped into a tea room on the weekend and it was simply wonderful. I took pictures and will have to share one of these weeks.

    When I first read you went to central Georgia, I thought you were in my neck of the woods. But, then I read Pine Mountain. Not only have I been there, but to that same restaurant! Lovely! Thank you for sharing this with A Return to Loveliness,

    I would love to visit such a nice tea house. I love the charm of an oldfashioned home. It is very different to the coffee restaurants in Germany. How nice to desplay all those china. And the food looks so delicious. Thank you for sharing.

    I love this tearoom! I don't even know of any in my area like that. And it has antiques too!! I'd go back there a lot as the food looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your visit. Pamela
