This was the living room the first time we saw the house.
We have changed the wall color, added a mantel to the fireplace, and tried several different rugs to see what would bring this room together.The first rug we tried.
Although a beautiful rug, we felt the color seemed to blend in too much.When I saw this rug at Home Goods with black in the center, I thought it would make the color in the furniture pop.

ReplyDeleteAnd the mantel! OH and always heard you need one something black to ground a room...be a piece of furniture, in a rug, pillow, lampshade, etc.
ReplyDeletePerfect!!! We have hardwood floors in our old house and I adore rugs. I have a couple of different ones for the dining area..it's nice to switch them out!
