In the spirit of giving

It seems at this time of year we are all more prone to give a little here and there.  The Salvation Army ringers are out in force, plus various charities are filling the mail boxes with requests for their needs.

Yet there is still a great need for those who have lost so much.  My sweet friend Rebecca wrote a blog post about the basic needs in the area that was ravished by Super Storm Sandy.  She has asked that we spread the word about this great need.  Lorena from Rose Chic Friends posted how we can all help.  Either a little or a lot.  A box or a check.  Won't you check it out, and dig a little deeper this holiday season?

" You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities and to those who were with me.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all."   Acts 20: 34-36

Beautiful post and so true. It's so important that we not forget those in need as we enjoy this season.
