Outdoor Wednesday

You know how it is when something catches your attention?? You go back and take another look.

Well I've mentioned here and on my quilting blog that I love to take pictures. I am by no means a photographer or even know much about a camera. But capturing something with a camera can be fun, exciting and memorable.

A few days ago, I was blog hopping and came across this amazing post. Now I am not very computer savvy, but my son helped me with the directions and I had to give it a try.

Living in central Florida, we have green almost year round. This picture was taken at an outing and I loved the little children walking with the dog. If you click on the picture, you can enlarge it for a closer look.

Where are you from?

If your blog is a Blogger account, have you ever noticed the "STATS" link ? After you sign in and go to your Dashboard, you can see it. It shows the most visited pages and posts from today, or this week or even in the last few months. It shows where your visitors come from (which countries and from which websites). A very cool tool that I never noticed before !

And just for fun today, I thought I would share a few license tags from my lovely Sunshine State!

Love the palm trees.

In case you didn't know, we live in Bulls Country :-)

And there is always sunshine for golfing!

Hummm............ wonder what this message means?

I do agree with the message on this tag. But surrounded by chain links?????

Manatees are famous here too...............

Honoring our service men and women.

Who is this????

My family are big Rays fans!

My stats said I have visitors from all over the world.
Please leave a comment and tell me where you are from :-)

Words to LIve By

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1: 9-14

Let's have lunch

Remember when these sand hill cranes visited our neighborhood with their little chickies??

At first there were two chicklets, but after a while I only saw the mama and papa with one baby. Sad to think what may have been the fate of the other baby.

On Saturday afternoon, my sweet hubby went out the front door to get our mail, and who should be visiting our front yard?

I'm not really sure if this was mama and papa, but I have a feeling this was mama and the one chicklet that has grown up. When my hubby went outside, she started making a most horrible loud squawking noise. THEY were not going to move!

Nope, they just resumed feasting on their lunch!

Words to Live By

Arise and go down to the potters house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.

Then I went down to the potters house, and behold he was working at the wheel.

And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it.

Then the word of the Lord came to me:

O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

At one time I will suddenly speak concerning a nation or kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it;

And if the people of that nation concerning which I have spoken turn from their evil, I will relent and reverse My decision concerning the evil that I thought to do to them.

At another time I will suddenly speak concerning a nation or kingdom, that I will build up and plant it;

And if they do evil in My sight, obeying not My voice, then I will regret and reverse My decision concerning the good with which I said I would benefit them.

Jeremiah 18:2-10

Ten Important Things

Okay, we all know who this gal is, right?? The queen of blog "Pioneer Woman". After months of reading Ree's blog, she is the gal who started me thinking that I might be able to write a blog :-) Of course she only has thousands and thousands of readers. But that's okay. She can handle it.

I have been reading a few blogs lately that are re-starting their blogs. Or maybe just giving them a jump start. Ree had a great post about blogging, and if you are interested, you can read about it here.

Have a wonderful weekend :-)

Mama, don't let your sons grow up to be........

We have frogs in our pond.

Well actually two!

One sits quietly on the edge while the other spits out water into the pond.

So on occasion, they have visitors............

Don't you love this one. It's like he is sitting next to the statue and saying "I want to be big like you!"

Two nights ago, WE had a visitor. A little bitty baby frog was hopping around in our hallway. My dear sweet hubby had already gone to bed, but damsel that I am, I made him get up and catch the thing and take it outside.

So the moral of this story is........

Let your boys pick up frogs and lizards in your back yard. You will be doing his future wife a huge service.

Pray about everything

This solves the mystery of what we should pray for. If we are abiding in Jesus, we shall ask what He wants us to ask whether we are conscious of doing so or not. "Ask what you desire," that is, what your will is in. The meaning of prayer is that we recognize we are in the relationship of a child to his father. "Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him." When once we realize that we can never think of anything our Father will forget, worry becomes impossible. Beware of getting into a panic. Panic is bad for the natural heart, and it is destructive to the spiritual life. "Let not your heart be troubled" - it is a command. Are we in the habit of constantly requesting, of continually talking to Jesus about everything? Where we go in the time of trial proves what the great underlying power in our lives is.

***********************

No real report about my compression fracture. The xrays taken in the ER were too low to see the actual fracture. I went to have an MRI on Wednesday. However, even though I tried twice I could not do it. So at this point I am not really sure what the next step is. My sweet hubby and children have been taking very good care of me. What a blessing they are.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Please keep them going. And thank you for being such kind caring friends. I long to get back to blogging once again.
